Celebrity heights in Korea are rarely measured in public, and agency profiles can be off in either direction: some stars round up, while tall actors of the late 2000s often listed themselves about 2 cm shorter so they would not tower over co-stars.[7] How we ranked: where a star has stated a height on the record (in an interview, on a variety show or after a medical checkup), we use that figure and mark it “Self-stated”; otherwise we use the profile figure that the Korean and English-language entertainment press most consistently report, cross-checked across several outlets rather than a single fan wiki. Where the press disagrees, the lower well-supported figure is used and the gap is noted in the write-ups or the Sources. Feet-and-inch values are rounded to the nearest inch. The table stops at 187 cm; idols just below it, such as EXO’s Chanyeol (185 cm, his own figure in a 2020 interview), miss the cut, as do idols whose heights we could only find on fan-run profile sites.[16][17]
The former KNK member, now an actor best known for the BL drama Semantic Error, has an official profile height of 189 cm, but he revealed in 2020 that he actually stands 193 cm. He said he was not that tall at debut and gained height after correcting his posture, and that people react very differently to 189 cm than to anything at 190 cm or above.[1] A 2021 ranking of active idols put him at the top as the tallest male K-pop idol.[2]
The Pinocchio actor gave his height as 191 cm himself on JTBC’s Knowing Bros in 2018, in an episode where his Clean with Passion for Now co-star Kim Yoo-jung said their height gap made romantic scenes hard to film.[4] Other outlets round him up to 192 cm, the figure SBS used when he appeared on its entertainment news show.[3][4]
SF9’s Rowoon is the tallest idol on this list after Park Seo-ham. He said on JTBC’s Idol Room that he was 190.5 cm,[6] and in a later Soompi interview he said a recent checkup measured him at about 190 cm. In the same interview he laughed off rumors that he was 193 or 196 cm.[5] His Extraordinary You co-star Kim Hye-yoon has put their height difference at 30 cm: 160 cm to his 190 cm.[5]
A model before he turned to acting, Moon broke out as Grand Prince Seongnam in tvN’s Under the Queen’s Umbrella in 2022, and Sports Kyunghyang noted that he talks openly about being 190 cm, a height that male actors once treated as almost taboo.[7] He was also the 190 cm lead of Wedding Impossible in 2024.[8] Some 2026 coverage of his KBS2 drama Beloved Thief gives 191 cm.[9]
The actor best known as “the giraffe” of SBS’s Running Man, which he left in 2021 after about 11 years, is listed at 190 cm on his profile.[6][10] Sports Kyunghyang reported that he is widely believed to be about 2 cm taller, and English Wikipedia lists him at 192 cm. When he debuted in the late 2000s, the same paper noted, tall actors commonly listed themselves about 2 cm shorter so as not to tower over co-stars.[7][10]
Korean press coverage in 2011, the year Flower Boy Ramyun Shop aired, described him as about 190 cm, and Wikitree’s round-up of stars over 185 cm also lists him at 190 cm.[3][11] English-language profile sites go higher, to 192 cm, and a 2024 CNBC Indonesia list put him first among K-drama actors at 193 cm.[11] We use the 190 cm figure from the Korean press.
The Lovely Runner star is listed at 189 cm,[8] and he has joked that he measures anywhere from 187 to 190 cm depending on the time of day.[12] The roughly 30 cm height gap between him and co-star Kim Hye-yoon became a talking point of the 2024 drama, and the Korean press credits it with making very tall leading men fashionable.[6]
The model-turned-actor who played Jin Sun-ho in SBS’s 2022 campus drama Cheer Up is listed at 189 cm, though Sports Kyunghyang reported that he is generally believed to be closer to 190 cm.[7] A 2026 Insight profile gives a lower 188 cm.[13]
While starring in tvN’s Marry My Husband in 2024, Na faced rumors that he had understated his height. He answered that he had measured himself at 188.6 cm.[8] Early in his career he was listed at 187 cm.[14]
A runway model before The Heirs made him a star, Kim is listed at 188 cm by English Wikipedia and Soompi.[15] After meeting him, the singer and actor Rain, himself 185 cm, called him the tallest person he had met in the entertainment business.[15] Korean round-ups of tall actors list him a centimeter lower, at 187 cm.[3]
