The Largest Hotels in the World by Number of Rooms
This ranks hotels by guest rooms, not height: the tallest hotels are a different list from the ones with the most beds. Every row is one hotel property or resort complex under a single name, counted the way its operator or annual report counts it, so The Venetian and The Palazzo are one entry and sub-brands inside a resort (the Signature at MGM Grand, Vdara at ARIA) are included. Counts are as of November 2, 2026.

As of November 2, 2026. Rooms = guest rooms and suites in one named hotel or resort complex, from the operator’s annual report or official site where one exists. Towers that share a resort name are added together (The Venetian + The Palazzo; Wynn + Encore; the five Londoner Macao hotels), and so are sub-brand hotels that the operator reports inside the resort (Signature, Vdara, W Las Vegas, Four Seasons). Counted hotel-tower-only, MGM Grand would be about 4,760 rooms. Ambassador City Jomtien states “more than 4,000” rooms and one trade listing gives 4,210, so it is shown as 4,000+ and may sit higher. “Opened” is the year the property first opened (later towers came after). Hotels that run well below the cut-off, such as the Cosmopolitan (3,032), are not listed. Counts move after renovations: MGM Grand’s fell from 6,731 to 6,488 between the 2024 and 2025 filings.[3] Several other claimed giants (Makkah’s Abraj Al-Bait towers, Sochi’s Barkhatnye Sezony, Tokyo’s Shinagawa Prince) are left out because their published counts conflict and no operator figure could be confirmed.[10] Caesars Palace, Paris and Flamingo come from Caesars’ 2024 filing[8]; Fontainebleau and Resorts World from a May 2026 secondary list.[9]
The Top 10
#1
First World Hotel — 7,351 rooms
Part of Resorts World Genting in the Malaysian highlands, the First World Hotel is Guinness World Records’ largest hotel by room count, a title it has held since 2015.[1] It has three towers; a Tower 2 Annex of 1,233 rooms lifted the total from 6,118 to 7,351.[1] It is managed by a subsidiary of Genting Malaysia.[1] The video is a third-party 2025 tour.
#2
The Venetian Resort — 7,092 suites
The Venetian and The Palazzo are connected and run as one resort here: 3,015 suites in the Venetian Tower, 1,013 in the Venezia Tower and 3,064 in the Palazzo Tower.[2] It held the world title after the Palazzo opened in 2008, until the First World Hotel’s 2015 expansion.[1] Counted separately, the two would rank far lower, which is why the convention matters. The video is a third-party room tour.
#3
MGM Grand Las Vegas — 6,488 rooms
MGM Resorts’ 2025 annual report lists 6,488 rooms at MGM Grand, including 1,728 in The Signature.[3] The count was 6,731 in the 2024 report, so a room remodel cut about 240.[3] Counting only the main hotel tower, Las Vegas’s tourism authority lists about 4,760.[10] The video is a third-party walk-through.
#4
ARIA Resort & Casino — 5,497 rooms
MGM Resorts reports 5,497 rooms at ARIA, which include 1,495 Vdara condo-hotel units that are mostly rented as hotel rooms.[3] ARIA anchors the CityCenter complex and opened in December 2009. Without Vdara, ARIA’s own tower is roughly 4,000 rooms.
#5
Izmailovo Hotel Complex — 5,000 rooms
Built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics, Izmailovo is a complex of four buildings (Alpha, Beta, Vega and Gamma-Delta) with about 5,000 rooms.[4] It was the world’s largest hotel until MGM Grand opened in 1993.[4] Per-building counts vary by listing and no current operator total was published, so 5,000 is the figure most sources repeat.[4] The video is a third-party look at the complex.
#6
Mandalay Bay — 4,750 rooms
MGM’s report counts 4,750 rooms at Mandalay Bay: the main resort plus 1,117 at the W Las Vegas and 424 at the Four Seasons, which share the property.[3] Las Vegas’s tourism authority lists the three separately, which is why older rankings show a much smaller Mandalay Bay.[10] The video is a third-party review.
#7
Wynn Las Vegas & Encore — 4,748 rooms
Wynn Resorts’ 2025 annual report describes two luxury hotel towers with 4,748 guest rooms, suites and villas.[5] Wynn opened in April 2005 and Encore, an expansion of it, in December 2008; resort materials split the total roughly 2,716 and 2,034, which adds to 4,750.[5] The video is a third-party tour of Encore.
#8
Luxor Las Vegas — 4,397 rooms
MGM Resorts lists 4,397 rooms at the pyramid-shaped Luxor, which opened in 1993.[3] It is operated by MGM Resorts. The video is a third-party overview.
#9
The Londoner Macao — 4,315 rooms
Las Vegas Sands’ 2025 annual report breaks the resort into its towers: Londoner Grand 2,405, Conrad 659, The Londoner Hotel 594, Londoner Court 368 and the Four Seasons Grand Suites 289, which sum to 4,315.[6] It opened in 2012 as Sands Cotai Central and was rebranded The Londoner Macao in 2021.[6] Older lists show about 6,000 rooms, a figure from before the Londoner Grand’s redevelopment cut its units.[6] The video is a third-party tour.
#10
Ambassador City Jomtien — 4,000+ rooms
The resort on Jomtien Bay near Pattaya opened in 1988 as three buildings and now has five wings (Ocean, Garden, Inn, Marina Tower and Ambassador Tower).[7] Its own site says “more than 4,000” guest rooms and suites.[7] The video is a third-party review of the Ocean Wing.
