The Constructicon combiner Devastator stands 100 feet tall, nearly three times Megatron’s 35 feet, and the Autobots’ biggest is the 60-foot cargo plane Stratosphere. Twenty-two robots from the live-action films, ranked by the heights in the films’ own scale charts and official bios.

Method and caveats: heights are robot-mode figures from the films’ own published material, as collected on TFWiki’s “Official sizes and heights” page: the 2007 film’s scale chart (its Boston Globe trading cards agree), the Autobot and Decepticon scale charts from the Revenge of the Fallen DVD, the official character bios posted for The Last Knight, and the Takara Tomy Japanese scale chart for Rise of the Beasts. The companion book Revenge of the Fallen: The Movie Universe is used only for The Fallen, whom no chart lists. Where a character has figures from more than one film, the tallest final one counts and its film is shown (Megatron: 35 ft in 2007, 30 ft in 2017; Bumblebee: 16 ft in 2007, 18 ft in 2017, 12 ft 6 in in 2023); preliminary charts and concept art are left out, and so are combined forms other than Devastator, a permanent team combiner (Optimus Prime with Jetfire’s parts is listed at 40 ft). Dark of the Moon, Age of Extinction and Bumblebee had no published scale chart, so Sentinel Prime, Shockwave, Lockdown, Grimlock and Galvatron can’t be ranked, and Unicron, a planet in The Last Knight and Rise of the Beasts, has no stated height. The animated Transformers One (2024) is a separate continuity on a different scale and isn’t included. The figures are the studios’, not measurements of the CGI, which often varies from shot to shot. Metres are converted from feet.[1]
The Top 10
#1
Devastator — 100 ft (30.5 m)
The Constructicons’ combined form is the tallest robot the live-action films have put a number on: 100 feet on the Decepticon scale chart released with Revenge of the Fallen, and “10 stories” in Michael Bay’s own production blog. He spends much of the film’s Egyptian battle on all fours, climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza to expose the Star Harvester inside, but “reaches 100 feet when it stands,” as Computer Graphics World reported. He was the largest robot Industrial Light & Magic built for the film, with 52,632 parts and nearly 12 million polygons: “the heaviest asset we’ve ever made… by far,” said ILM’s Jeff White.[1][2][3]
#2
Scavenger — 75 ft (22.9 m)
The red Constructicon is a giant Terex O&K RH 400 mining excavator, one of the largest hydraulic excavators ever built, and becomes Devastator’s upper torso when the team combines. The 75-foot chart figure makes him the tallest Transformer in the films who isn’t a combined form, though it doesn’t sit neatly with Devastator’s own 100 feet; the scale charts were drawn for each robot on its own.[1][4]
#3
Long Haul — 65 ft (19.8 m)
The only green Constructicon turns into a Caterpillar 773B dump truck and forms Devastator’s right leg. His standalone robot mode began as fan art by the freelance artist Josh Nizzi, which impressed Bay enough to hire him onto the film.[1][4]
#4
Stratosphere — 60 ft (18.3 m)
The Autobots’ flying transport in Rise of the Beasts is a battered old cargo plane, voiced by John DiMaggio, that carries the team to Peru. At 60 feet on the film’s Japanese scale chart he is the tallest Autobot with an official height in any of the live-action films, more than three times the height of the Optimus Prime he flies, who is listed at 18 feet in the same chart.[1][5]
#5
Jetfire — 50 ft (15.2 m)
The ancient Seeker who sleeps in the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Center disguised as an SR-71 Blackbird is listed at 50 feet on the Revenge of the Fallen Autobot chart. A Decepticon who switched sides, he ends the film by giving his parts to Optimus Prime, and the combined “Power Up” Optimus is listed at 40 feet, 12 feet taller than Prime on his own.[1]
#6
The Fallen — 42 ft (12.8 m)
The film’s title villain, one of the original Primes and Megatron’s master, appears in no scale chart; the 42-foot figure comes from the official companion book Revenge of the Fallen: The Movie Universe. He is the tallest Transformer in the films with no Earth vehicle mode, and he is finally killed by Optimus Prime wearing Jetfire’s parts.[1]
#7
Megatron — 35 ft (10.7 m)
The Decepticon leader stood 35 feet in both the 2007 scale chart and the Revenge of the Fallen charts, the tallest of the first film’s robots. He was a Cybertronian jet in 2007 and a Cybertronian tank after his revival in the sequel. By The Last Knight (2017) his official height had dropped to 30 feet; this ranking uses each character’s tallest final official figure.[1]
#7
Rampage — 35 ft (10.7 m)
The bulldozer Constructicon ties Megatron at 35 feet on the Revenge of the Fallen Decepticon chart. With Ravage, he holds Sam Witwicky’s parents hostage until Bumblebee destroys him.[1]
#9
Blackout — 33 ft (10.1 m)
The first Decepticon seen in the 2007 film, Blackout arrives disguised as an MH-53 Pave Low helicopter and wipes out the US base in Qatar in its opening scene. The scale chart lists him at 33 feet and the film’s Boston Globe trading card at 33 feet 5 inches.[1]
#10
Starscream — 31 ft (9.4 m)
Megatron’s treacherous lieutenant, disguised as an F-22 Raptor, is listed at 31 feet in both the 2007 chart and the Revenge of the Fallen Decepticon chart. He survives both of the first two films and is finally killed by Sam Witwicky in Dark of the Moon (2011).[1]
