Tallest Hotels. The tallest hotels in New York City are the Courtyard and the Residence Inn Hotels at 1717 Broadway. The 1717 Broadway skyscraper opened on December 2013. The $320 million, 68-story building houses the Courtyard (378 rooms) on floors 6-33, while the Residence Inn (261 suites) is housed on the upper level floors 37-65.
Oldest Hotels. The Ritz Hotel Tower is one of the oldest, tallest hotels, standing at 165m and operating since 1926. The others include Hotel Sherry-Netherland (171m, built in 1927), Hotel Pierre (160m, 1930), and the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel (191m, 1931).
