Overview

The OICA, or  Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles (International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers), tracks and represents the global auto industry. Here is a raw summary of the bus/coach production for 2017 to 2018 by countries.

China, India and Brazil remain the top three respective bus/coach producers for 2017-2018 and account for up to 80% of the global production of buses and coaches.

In 2018, there are close to 277,116 buses and coaches produced. Out of which, 55% (or 153,117 buses) are produced in China, 14.3% (or 39,622 buses) are produced in India and 10.3% (or 28,536 buses) are produced in Brazil.

In 2017, there are close to 298,131 buses and coaches produced. Out of which, 59% (or 178,385 buses) are produced in China, 14.3%  (or 42,751 buses) are produced in India and 7% (or 20,643 buses) are produced in Brazil.
