This dataset reflects the median employment incomes for both male and female workers in the provinces and metropolitan areas for the year 2018 and ranks the provinces/metros from the highest median employment income to the lowest.

Highest median income for male and female workers. Among the provinces and metropolitan areas, Edmonton has the highest median employment income for male workers at $50,000, while Ottawa-Gatineau has the highest median employment income for female workers at $41,400.

Ottawa-Gatineau. When considering employment incomes of both male and female workers, Ottawa-Gatineau has the highest median employment income at $44,300 per worker and the lowest income gap between male and female workers at 16.4%.
