Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam is a 37-year-old arch-gravity dam (completed in 1985). It is located in Sayanogorsk, Khakassia, Russia (Europe).

Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam is the tallest arch-gravity dam in the world. The arch-gravity dam has an installed capacity of 6,400MW. Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam stands 242 meters tall and can impound up to 31.30 billion m3 of water.
